COVID-19 Updates

Please take a moment to re-read our company guidelines you received earlier this year regarding COVID-19. Please do your part to protect yourself, your co-workers and our guests by wearing your masks properly covering both your nose and mouth and by washing your hands frequently throughout the day.

PROTOCOL FOR REDUCING IMPACT OF COVID-19

At Milton Martin Toyota, we are committed to putting our people first. In order to reduce the impact of COVID-19 outbreak, all associates are required to immediately adhere to the following protocol. Our primary goal is to reduce, control and prevent transmission of Covid-19 and ultimately maintain a healthy business operation.

Disclaimer: This document reflects our best knowledge at the time of writing and may be periodically updated to incorporate new learnings and guidelines as they become available.  Associates are responsible for reviewing and complying with all such updates.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL ASSOCIATES:

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Always wash hands that are visibly soiled.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Practice good respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Practice social distancing.
  • We encourage all associates to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 if they suspect possible exposure.

SELF-ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES TO MINIMIZE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19:

Associates must refrain from reporting to work if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms and must immediately leave the worksite if they develop any of these symptoms while at work.  Associates are encouraged to seek medical advice if they develop any of these symptoms:

  • Fever (100°f or greater) or having a sense of a fever;
  • New cough that you cannot attribute to another known health condition;
  • New shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or chest discomfort that you cannot attribute to another known health condition;
  • New sore throat, headache, dizziness, or loss of taste or sense of smell that you cannot attribute to another known health condition;
  • New vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, which you cannot contribute to another known health condition.

Associates must comply with the following protocol:

  • Stay home if sick.
  • Each associate should take their own temperature at home before coming to work.
  • If anyone has a temperature over 100.4°F, do not report to work and call Jimmy Hernandez at 770-532-4355 Ext. 170 or 770-262-0634 or another member of the Senior Management team (Tommy Martin or Mark Brown) immediately to report your potential tardiness or absence. Additionally, if your temperature is above 99.6°F, but less than 100.4°F, wait one hour and retake. If your temperature remains under 100.4, then you may report to work provided you are not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Before entering our facilities, an assigned team member will take each associate’s temperature. Your supervisor/manager will tell you where to go to get your temperature taken daily. It is imperative that each associate go straight to their respective temperature check in station prior of entering any of our facilities.
  • Everyone who serve customers face to face must use noncontact methods of greeting and must wear a face mask and gloves at all times.
  • Associates should practice social distancing and stay at least six feet apart from other associates as much as possible. When it is not possible to do so, associates must wear face masks and gloves.
  • If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you must notify Jimmy Hernandez at 770-532-4355 Ext. 170 or a member of the Senior Management team (Tommy Martin or Mark Brown) immediately. As set forth below, you will be asked to stay home from work and encouraged to self-quarantine for 14 days. If you develop any COVID-19 symptoms while in self-quarantine, you must let a member of management know and should contact your medical provider.
  • Associates who have a cough, excessive sneezing, shortness of breath, or any flu like symptoms, should not report to work and should instead call a member of management. We encourage all associates who exhibit the above symptoms to seek medical consultation as soon as possible and to follow CDC-recommended steps.
  • Associates who appear to have symptoms(i.e., fever, cough, or shortness of breath) upon arrival at work or who become sick during the day will be immediately sent home.
  • Associates who are well but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should also stay at home for at least 14 days after exposure.
  • Associates should follow their healthcare provider’s instructions before returning to work.

RETURN-TO-WORK PROTOCOL:

Associates who HAVE tested positive for COVID-19 or HAVE experienced COVID-19 symptoms may return to work under the following conditions:

  1. You have completed a minimum 10-day period of self-quarantine; AND
  2. You have had no fever for at least 72 hours (that is three full days of no fever) withoutthe use of medicine that reduces fevers; AND
  3. Your respiratory symptoms have improved (i.e., cough, shortness of breath, etc.).

 

Associates who HAVE NOT tested positive for COVID-19 or experienced any COVID-19 symptoms, but HAVE BEEN in close contact with someone with COVID-19 may return to work under the following conditions:

  1. You have completed a minimum 14-day period of self-quarantine; AND
  2. You have been symptom free for at least the last 72 hours (i.e., no fever, no respiratory symptoms, etc.).

In all cases, follow the guidance of your doctor, health care provider, local health department, and/or CDC. The decision to stop self-quarantine should be made in consultation with your healthcare provider.

If an associate is confirmed to have COVID-19 infection, Milton Martin Toyota will inform fellow associates of their possible exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace but maintain confidentiality as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Milton Martin Toyota will instruct fellow associates about how to proceed based on the CDC Public Health Recommendations for Community-Related Exposure.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY BUSINESS OPERATION:

  1. a) Associates MUST practice social distancing. Social distancing means avoiding large gatheringsand maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others. (e.g., servicing customers, interacting with co-workers, while taking brakes or eating lunch in breakrooms).
  2. b) Associates must avoid using other workers’ phones, desks, offices, or other work tools and equipment, when possible.
  3. c) Associates are responsible to maintain their work station disinfected on a consistent basis throughout the day.
  4. d) All customer’s bathrooms should be sanitized hourly from 9am-4pm. All associate bathrooms and breakrooms will be sanitized at least once per day or as needed throughout the day.
  5. e) All meetings must be conducted in an office or space area where social distance guidelines can be met.
  6. f) Associates who get in and out of customer’s vehicle as part of their daily responsibility must always wear a mask and gloves before entering the vehicle. Vehicle’s exterior door handle, and interior must be disinfected before returning vehicle to customer. All service & collision vehicles must have a steering wheel cover, seat cover and floor mat before associate enters the vehicle.
