January 23rd, 2020 by

At Milton Martin Toyota in Gainesville, GA, we know that choosing the right truck to fit your lifestyle can be intimidating since there are so many on the market these days. A Toyota truck is a great choice for many reasons, including the features they offer, their impressive performance and capabilities, and their legendary reliability. Toyota makes two different truck models: the Toyota Tacoma and the Toyota Tundra. While there are some things that come standard with all Toyota models, it mainly boils down to price, performance, capabilities, and space when deciding which Toyota truck is right for you.

The Toyota Tacoma

If you’re looking for a mid-size pickup truck with unrivaled off-roading capabilities, the Toyota Tacoma may be the right choice for you. This 2020 Toyota truck starts at $26,050 and comes in six different trims: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, and TRD Pro. There are also two available engines among these trims. The first is the 2.7 Liter DOHC 16-Valve 4-Cylinder engine which produces 159 horsepower, and the second is the 3.5-Liter V6 engine, which offers the perfect mix of efficiency and power while producing 278 horsepower. As one would expect, the 4-cylinder engine has just over half the towing capacity as the 6-cylinder, at 3,500 pounds compared to 6,400 pounds, respectively.

There are a number of features that make the Tacoma an off-roading powerhouse. The Tundra TRD Off-Road’s Crawl Control gives you an extra hand by automatically modulating the throttle and braking so that you can keep your focus on tackling the terrain. Additionally, the standard electronically controlled locking rear differential evenly distributes engine power to provide extra grip on terrains that have lower traction. There is also the Multi-terrain Select feature, which allows you to choose from five different modes, including Mud and Sand, Loose Rock, Rock and Dirt, Mogul, and Rock mode.

Last but not least, every Tacoma comes standard with Toyota’s Star Safety System. This advanced safety system includes features such as Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Brake System, Smart Stop technology, and more. You can be sure no matter where you’re driving this Toyota truck, it will help keep you and your passengers safe.

The Toyota Tundra

The Tundra may be the Toyota truck for you if you’re in need of a comfortable full-size pickup with great towing capabilities. The Tundra, like the Tacoma, is available in six different trims: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and TRD Pro. The base model, the SR, starts at $33,575, which is about $7,500 less than the base model Tacoma, so that is something to consider if price is a big factor in your decision. With its sole engine option, a 5.7-Liter V8 that produces 381 horsepower, the Tundra has an available 10,200-pound towing capacity to handle all of your towing needs. It also has an available 38-gallon fuel tank, which is perfect for longer hauls. The open truck bed, which has an available deck rail system, makes hauling things in the truck bed easy and can carry up to 1,730 pounds. Toyota Trucks - 2020 TundraInside, the Tundra can seat up to six passengers, and there is plenty of room to stretch out. If you’re hauling more cargo than people, the rear seats in the Double Cab and CrewMax fold up to create even more room for whatever you need. When you need some entertainment, the standard 7-inch or available 8-inch touch-screen display doesn’t disappoint and is now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard on all Toyota Tundra models. Also, like the Tacoma, the Tundra comes standard with Toyota’s Star Safety System as well as eight airbags to help keep you free from harm. With all of these features, purchasing a Tundra from Milton Martin Toyota can’t be a bad choice.
