Thanks to a heavy-duty TripleTech frame, the Tundra comes equipped with an integrated tow hitch receiver and a trailer hitch. Additionally, the Tundra’s open bed makes it easy for a quick haul or last-minute getaways. When properly equipped, the Tundra has a payload capacity of up to 1,730 pounds.

Performance

The Tundra’s i-Force 5.7L V8 engine produces a whopping 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque. Add to that is the six-speed automatic transmission with a standard Tow Package. The Tundra comes equipped with Active Traction Control, which controls the traction across the front and rear axles simultaneously, helping improve grip on low-traction surfaces. Plus, equipped standard on all Toyota Tundras is the Auto Limited-Slip Differential, which works like a traditional LSD but with a tech twist. Instead of controlling the slip mechanically, Auto LSD applies brakes individually to the wheels with no traction. Also, without cutting engine power as well. All this in one vehicle, and you got yourself one heavy-duty truck.

The fun does not end there with the new Toyota Tundra as there many great tech and safety features that come equipped with this full-size truck. The Tundra comes with plenty of entertainment value that will make every drive an exciting one. First, the new 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen display is the main hub for all your multimedia needs. With Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, the new Tundra is compatible with either your Apple or Android smartphone. You can make calls, send and receive text messages, get directions, listen to music, all while staying focused on the road. Other neat tech features include Amazon Alexa, smart key system, and Integrated Navigation.

Safety Features

Toyota takes safety seriously, and with the many safety features in the Tundra, rest assure you’ll have a safe ride. The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection is designed to detect a vehicle or pedestrian in certain situations. The PCS will provide an audio and visual alert to warn you of a possible collision. Other important safety features include Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Trims

The Tundra comes in a couple of trims, so you are bound to find one that will fit your budget and needs. The six Tundra trims include the SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and TRD Pro. One thing to note is that the SR and SR5 come with six seats while the other four trims seat only five. Depending on the trim you go for, leather-trimmed bucket seats, 12 or 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and dual-zone climate control are all options that are available for the Tundra.
